Freshly baked tropical ambiance and excellent service

A short blog to cover off a couple of very relaxing tasty eateries here on the paradise Isle of Bali.  Most notably and a regular haunt of mine is the Cafe Luhtu's. Situated towards the north side of Sanur close by the hotel Segara village.  

A pleasant Cafe with a large beach side frontage, excellent cafe type food.  All the menu is freshly prepared from their western style kitchens which are located in the main restaurant. In Luhtu's you will find home baked cakes, such as Banana cake, Carrot, cake, English cake etc.  but also fresh Apple pie, Coconut meringue pie, Blueberry pie and so on.. Sound yummy well it is, and to top it off they make all there own bread which makes for excellent sandwiches.  

What really makes Luhtu's so special, if the fresh baked prepared food is not enough, it's the staff which makes this place.  There are many servers on hand to make your experience so special and give a great service.  All are friendly, all will go out of there way to assist and make your visit memorable occasion.

For me this is a great place to just relax, read a book, enjoy the cool breeze lifting from the glistening sea surrounding this wonderful Island.  I should also add that this is a place that has become institutionalized in my total being for every Sunday you will find me and my wife enjoying a full English breakfast together with fresh orange juice, Bali coffee and I should note along with almost all the expat community of Sanur.

My second place of note is not necessarily a restaurant particularly, it is a place.  Double six beach situated on the west side of the island close by Seminyak.  For here you can enjoy the wild sea's fabulous sunsets and excellent beach cafes.  The beach cafes have taken to arranging bean bags in serid rows in-order to enjoy the regular sunset, of course with a beer in hand.

All of these bars have set up a small stage and commissioned a small live band for the duration, it is kind of magical, an experience not to be missed.  Last night I had chicken enchiladas and a beer, I have to say one of the best I have ever tasted.
