The Life blood of Paradise here on Bali

The Life blood of Paradise here on Bali

It has been a while since I have written a blog of any significance.  That's not to say that Bali has been less interesting, more that I have been too absorbed in the ever changing events that have occurred on this wonderful holiday Island.

Most notable are the new road systems that have been put in place.  Roads and tolls that link what was once in-accessible parts of the Island such as Nusa Dua, Uluwatu and Jimbaran.   Those of you who know Bali and perhaps can date that knowledge back 30 years or so will know that Bali's airport was once small and very provincial.  In essence it was an idyllic remote airport you would expect from a tropical paradise Island. The airport, if my memory serves me well was a thatched hut serving a small runway and providing access to tourists who would most probably have cleared customs in Jakarta prior to travelling to Bali.  Today is a very different story.  Bali has become an International hub for tourist, conventions and business travel alike. The airport  has grown accordingly and is one of the grandest airports anywhere in Asia as the stunning immense airport reflects Bali's success.  I espouse this story as the airport was once small and insignificant occupying a section of the Island that at that time was perfect at its current location.  Today it is not ideally placed as it successful growth occupies a prince point on this tropical paradise effectively cutting off some of the picturesque areas of Bali from the main tourists spots which sit slightly north of the airport.  To solve this problem and to open up this lush tropical part of Bali giving greater access to the beautiful wild beaches which front the Indian Ocean from Uluwatu etc.  Bali has invested in one of the most stunning roads ever to be built (my guess) as this road, a toll road, stretches far out to sea effectively by-passing the airport providing fast access to each part of Bali north and south of the Island.

There are many other changes afoot here all are worthy of mention; such as the fast underpass eliminating another pinch point which also links the airport to the Sunset road, enabling fast access to places such as Seminyak as well as all points north.

I will keep this blog short on this occasion with a promise to re-invent myself and add further tomes on a regular basis.

Meanwhile please take some time to look at the many villa sites showing some of the best villas here on this wonderful resort Island such as: Booking Villas in Bali, The Leading Villas of Bali

For those of you wishing to move here here is a great site for New Homes available at affordable prices Rumah Di Bali
